Getting Started
Try the Playground
No account needed. Head to the Playground to explore pre-loaded demo borehole logs. Click any table row to see where the data was extracted from in the original PDF.
Create an Account
Sign up with your email to upload your own PDFs. Buy credits to start processing your own borehole logs.
Uploading Borehole Logs
Supported Formats
Upload any borehole log as a PDF, JPG, or PNG file. Any template, from any company, simple or complex. Single-page and multi-page logs are both supported.
Batch Upload
Upload multiple PDF files at once. Each file is processed independently and tracked as a separate job. You can monitor progress for each file in your Jobs dashboard.
Multi-Borehole PDFs
If a single PDF contains multiple borehole logs, BoreholeAI will detect and split them automatically. Each borehole appears as a separate file within the job.
Credit Usage
Processing costs 1 credit per page. Credits are deducted when you start a job. If a job fails, credits are refunded automatically.
What Gets Extracted
Ground Profile
Layer depths, thicknesses, material types, and geological descriptions — parsed from complex log formats into clean, structured tables.
In-Situ Tests
SPT N-values, RQD, TCR, SCR, and other in-situ test results are extracted with depth correlations.
Lab Test Data
UCS, Is50, Cu, moisture content, Atterberg limits, and other laboratory test results — extracted from test summary sheets.
Groundwater
Groundwater strike levels, rest levels, and monitoring data are captured with dates and depths.
Metadata
Borehole ID, project name, location coordinates, drilling dates, contractor details, and other header information.
Visual Grounding
Click to Verify
Every extracted data row links back to its exact location in the original PDF. Click any row in the results table and the PDF viewer scrolls to and highlights the source region.
PDF to Table
It works both ways — click a region in the PDF and the corresponding data row is highlighted in the table. Full traceability, no black box.
Export Formats
Excel (.xlsx)
Download structured data as Excel workbooks with separate sheets for ground profile, test data, groundwater, and metadata. Ready for use in spreadsheets or import into geotechnical software.
Annotated PDF
A copy of the original PDF with markup overlays showing exactly what was extracted and where — a full audit trail you can share with reviewers.
AGS Format
Export in the AGS (Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists) data transfer format — the industry standard for ground investigation data. Coming soon.
Credits & Billing
Pay-as-You-Go
1 credit = 1 page at $1.00/page. No subscriptions, no monthly fees. Save up to 20% with credit packs.

Try the playground with pre-loaded demo data before purchasing credits — no account required.
Credit Packs
Choose from Starter (50 credits, $45), Professional (100 credits, $85), or Enterprise (500 credits, $400). Larger packs offer better per-page pricing.
Refunds
If a job fails during processing, credits are automatically refunded to your account. No action needed.
Auto-Recharge
How It Works
Enable auto-recharge in Settings > Plan to automatically top up your credits when they drop below a threshold. Save a payment method once and process logs without interruption.
Setup
Choose your preferred credit pack and set a threshold (e.g. recharge when credits drop below 5). You'll be redirected to Stripe to securely save a payment method.
Toggle On/Off
Auto-recharge can be enabled or disabled at any time from your Settings page. Your saved payment method is retained so you can re-enable without re-entering card details.
Security & Privacy
Zero Data Retention
Uploaded PDFs are permanently deleted immediately after processing is complete. We do not store your original documents.
OCR-First Pipeline
Your PDFs are parsed using OCR middleware — the full document is never sent to any AI model. Only extracted text snippets are used for structured parsing.
Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Payments are processed securely through Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.
